Which solar subsidy may apply to you?

Residential rooftop solar support is primarily delivered through the central PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Some states may provide additional support or separate incentives, but amounts and eligibility depend on current state notifications and the local DISCOM.

Up to ₹78,000

Indicative CFA structure: ₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and ₹78,000 for 3 kW or higher eligible residential rooftop systems.

Up to ₹85,800

Higher central CFA rates may apply in designated special-category states and UTs. Verify your exact location and eligibility on the official portal before planning costs.

State-level incentives are not uniform across India. A state portal may publish additional capital subsidy, generation-based incentive, waivers or other support with specific conditions.

Does the subsidy apply to commercial or industrial solar plants?

The residential central CFA described on this page should not be assumed to apply to commercial or industrial installations. Separate policies, financing programmes or tenders may apply.

Can I receive both central and state subsidy?

Will I receive the subsidy immediately?
